Ingredients
  

Ricotta Cheese: 1 cup (full-fat or low-fat)

Egg: 1 large

Parmesan Cheese: 2 tablespoons, grated

Marinara Sauce: 1/2 cup (sugar-free, low-carb)

Mozzarella Cheese: 1/2 cup, shredded

Seasonings:

  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp dried Italian herbs

Optional Add-Ins

  • Cooked ground turkey or shredded chicken 1/2 cup
  • Fresh spinach or sautéed zucchini slices for layering

Instructions
 

Preheat Oven:

  • Set your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a small baking dish.

Prepare Ricotta Mixture:

  • In a bowl, combine
  • -1 cup ricotta cheese
  • -1 egg
  • -2 tbsp grated parmesan
  • -Salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Italian herbs
  • Mix until smooth.

Assemble the Bake:

  • Spread 1/4 cup marinara sauce at the bottom of the dish.
  • Add the ricotta mixture evenly on top.
  • Spread the remaining 1/4 cup marinara sauce over the ricotta layer.
  • Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese on top.

Bake:

  • Place the dish in the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

Cool and Serve:

  • Let the bake cool for 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy warm!
